Paradox Interactive has closed Paradox Tectonic following the cancellation of Life by You.Life By You was scrapped after Paradox claimed the project would not be able to meet expectations. Capcom's fantasy-RPG Dragon's Dogma II is a little over two months old, and it's now sold over three million copies. That puts it not too far off from Street Fighter 6's 3.3 million copies (as of March 31, 2024).On Twitter, the developer thanked Arisen (aka players) who've "embarked on adventures! We are grateful for your continued support."Dragon's Dogma II released in late March, and sold 2.5 million copies within the same timeframe. Toys for Bob teams with Microsoft on first indie game

It's official: Toys for Bob's next project will be published by Microsoft.The studio confirmed on Twitter, cushioning the news by saying it's still "very early" in development on said game. Previous reports from March indicated the two companies would still be in bed following TfB's split from Activision Blizzard in February.At the time of that news, it was claimed the studio's next game would be similar to what it's previously made. It was further alleged Toys' leadership was insistent about returning to what it worked on before being relegated as a Call of Duty support team.

Akira Nakao, a film and TV actor who appeared in Sega's Judgment series, died on May 16. He was 81.Spotted by Game.Watch, he reportedly passed from heart failure. Family and friends have already held a service for him.Born August 11, 1942, Nakao had just two video games to his resume. Airship Syndicate delists Wayfinder to make ‘major’ changes

The action-MMO Wayfinder is currently unavailable to buy, but developer Airship Syndicate isn't giving up on the game.On Twitter, the studio explained it turned off sales as publishing responsibilities transfer over from Digital Extremes. Last November, the Warframe studio gave full ownership to Airship as it reduced its third-party output.Those who bought Wayfinder before now can still access and play the game "with no interruptions." A specific timeframe for its return to digital stores wasn't given.Airship Syndicate is also taking this time to give Wayfinder an overhaul that "remains consistent with our standards and beliefs." These changes will include a business model reflective of its new status as a publisher.
